Marc Greenfield uses his extensive background and unique expertise as a former IRS agent to assist clients with tax issue resolution. With experience working on both sides of individual, partnership and corporate tax return audit situations, Marc develops a personal 1-on-1 relationship to take ownership of your specific tax problem and carry through from beginning to end. He believes it is imperative to always have an experienced person representing you to the IRS.

After an initial examination of your case, Marc provides a straightforward assessment and presents strategies to bring the matter to resolution. He works to find all reasonable cost-effective solutions, including reductions and abatements, to bring any payment to a manageable level.

Marc started his career in public accounting in New Haven, Connecticut, and then joined the IRS as an Internal Revenue Agent. Over his more than 30-year career with the IRS, he held numerous positions including Chief of the Examination Division - Upstate New York, Regional Manager for Multi-national Examinations - Mid Atlantic Region and Chief of Compliance Studies - IRS National Office.

In 2001, Marc joined the Public Accounting firm of Rue & Associates in Richmond, Virginia specializing in audits and tax resolution cases. In 2008 he moved to North Carolina and started MWG & Associates where he has represented clients before the IRS and State of North Carolina to successfully reduce tax and penalties in 100% of his cases.
